MDCAT Aggregate Calculator
Find your merit aggregate for MBBS and BDS admissions. Enter your Matric, FSc and MDCAT marks and the calculator applies the 10% + 40% + 50% formula used for public medical and dental colleges. You can change the weights for any other college.
How to use the MDCAT Aggregate Calculator
- Enter your Matric marks and total.
- Enter your FSc marks and total (or expected marks).
- Enter your MDCAT score out of 180.
- Read your aggregate. Change the weights if your college uses a different formula.
Formula
Example
Matric 1050/1200 gives 8.75, FSc 1000/1200 gives 33.333 and MDCAT 150/180 gives 41.667. The aggregate is 83.75%.
Where to focus
Because MDCAT carries half the aggregate, a 10-mark rise in MDCAT adds about 2.8% to your aggregate, while 10 more FSc marks out of 1200 add only about 0.33%. Once FSc is done, preparing for MDCAT has the biggest effect.
Check the official policy
- PMDC sets the MDCAT and admission framework
- Provincial admitting universities publish the merit formula and quotas each year
- Private colleges may use their own weights or interviews
- Reserved seats, foreign seats and special quotas have separate merit lists
